Know your passage before you leave.
Vortex Router sails 28 departures across a week, under ECMWF, GFS and ICON, for your boat. It tells you which one works and why the others don't: which limit, how much, where and when. Twice a day, in plain words.
What you get
- The answer first: the best departure as one time, and every other departure's reason in words.
- Every why-not explained: the limit, by how much, where, when, and whether the models agree.
- Three forecast models, ECMWF, GFS and ICON, with their disagreement shown, not hidden.
- Forecast gaps disclosed: which model, which element and how many hours were filled.
- Your boat: your polar, how she really sails, at night and in waves, your crew and your comfort limits.
- The passage package: timeline, comfort map, polar heat-map, sleep windows and watch plan, route sheet, GPX and PDF.
- AI commentary with every number checked, and Ask the planner.
- The Passage Player in PassageWiki: sail it before you sail it.
- Twice a day by email, at 8 am and 8 pm, port time.
Planning advice from computer forecasts and a routing model. It never says a passage is safe. You decide as skipper.
We're testing with skippers planning South Pacific passages from late October to December.
